A super quality solid sterling silver and gold box. It is hallmarked SILVER so I can not be sure where is was made however it has an Australian look about it. I would date it by its design to c1950-1960. It has a textured finish, gold cast thumb catch and internal gilding. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The hinge is smooth and tight and the lid clicks shut securely. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.5cm) across by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide by 7mm tall and weighs 32 grams. A high quality example.
