A rare English Georgian antique solid sterling silver crested marrow scoop. It is hallmarked for London with the date letter being rubbed, the makers mark is that of John Lampfert which dates to c1760/70s. It has been superbly designed and has been engraved with a tree crested used by the Hamilton family. It is in super condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures over 8.75 inches (22.6cm) long by 0.75 inch (2cm) wide and weighs 46 grams. A very high quality interesting piece.
