A beautiful good sized German Hanau solid silver box. It is hallmarked with a German Hanau makers mark and possibly Austrian import marks and tests as high grade silver, I would date it to c1890-1900. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a shoe. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 4.25 inches (10.8cm) long by 1.25 inches (3cm) wide by 1.75 inches (4.6cm) tall and weighs 60 grams. A very pretty piece.
