A super quality solid sterling silver box. It is hallmarked for London 2003 with the maker being PJD for Peter John Doherty, made for Gallagher's who had links to Aspreys and Garrards. It has a stylish engine turned design and has two rose gold bands to the lid. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, a tiny mark to the back base edge. The hinge is smooth and tight. The JJG (J J Gallagher) logo is on the base. It measures over 2.5 inches (6.7cm) across by 1.75 inches (4.2cm) wide by over 0.5 inch (1.4cm) tall and weighs 82 grams. A very high quality example.
