A superbly modelled large sterling silver desk or table bird figure. It is hallmarked for London 1977 with the maker marks being S M D Castings. It has been beautifully modelled being finely hollow cast in the form of a male pheasant bird. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 6.5 inches (16.5cm) long beak to tail by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) wide by 2.5 inches (6.3cm) tall and weighs 262 grams (all silver weight, i.e. it is not filled). A very well designed high quality example.
