A superb rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver gilt place card or menu holder. It is hallmarked London c1890 with the makers marks being those of Sidney Oldridge of Grey and Co, the date letter is difficult to read by Grey and Co operate at the end of the 19th century. It has been beautifully made incorporating a Cross Pattee the crest of the McKee or M'Kee family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the gilding is complete. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.5cm) across by almost 2 inches (4.6cms) tall and weighs 16 grams. A rare piece.
