A beautiful very high quality English boxed solid sterling silver musical box. It is hallmarked for London 1988 with the maker being Peter Nicholas & Co Ltd. It has been beautifully made having a gilded flowers to its lid and plays The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs and works perfectly, i.e. it winds up on the base and can be switched on and off by twisting the top. The pink box has a few marks but is generally in good condition. The music box measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cm) across by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) tall and weighs 204 grams (excluding the pink box). A superbly designed very high quality piece.
