A beautiful English Victorian antique solid sterling silver holy water or wine jug and stopper. It is hallmarked for Sheffield with the date letter being difficult to decipher (c1850's) along with the makers mark of Henry Wilkinson & Co (this mark was used c1850's). It has been superbly designed with the jug being engraved IHS and the stopper being in the form of a cross. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures 4.25 inches (10.8cm) tall to the top of the cross by 2.5 inches (6.4cm) across the body and weighs 70 grams. A nice quality rare example.
