A beautiful Victorian German Hanau solid sterling silver box. It is hallmarked with Hanau marks along with the import marks for Sheffield 1896 with the importer being Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck. It has been superbly made being of love heart form. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is gilded. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (3.7cm) across by over 1.25 inches (3.4cm) front to back by 0.5 inch (1.3cm) tall and weighs 18 grams. A very pretty piece.
