A beautiful very high quality English solid sterling silver musical box. It is hallmarked for London 1979 with the makers mark being that of The St James House Company. It has been beautifully made having a gilded image of three ships to its lids, it plays 'I saw three ships'. It was made as a limited edition of only 500, this being number 328. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs and works perfectly, i.e. plays once the lid has been opened. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.5cms) across by 2.25 inches (5.5cms) by over 1.75 inches (4.5cm) tall and weighs 234 grams. A superbly designed very high quality piece.
