A super quality cased English solid sterling silver letter opener. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1978 with the maker being Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 8 inches (20.3cm) long by over 0.75 inch (2.3cm) wide and weighs 32 grams excluding the case. A very well designed piece.
