A superb large solid sterling silver Victorian cream jug. It is hallmarked for London 1882 with the makers marks being JE, it has a tiny retailers engraving to the base underside which reads J Smith and Son 35 King Street Covent Garden. It has been superbly made and is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, gilded inside. It measures approx. 6 inches (15.2cm) tall by 5 inches wide including the handle and weighs 194 grams. A high quality piece.
