A beautiful solid silver Persian cigarette case. It is hallmarked with Persian silver marks and tests as 840 grade silver. I would date it to c1920-1940. It has been beautifully hand made being engraved and chased with a duck like birds. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It is sprung so automatically closes. The inside is clean and gilded. It measures 4.75 inches (12.3cm) long by 3.25 inches (8.3cm) wide and weighs 176 grams. A superbly designed beautiful example.
