A very nice quality English solid sterling silver wine taster. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1978 with the maker being S J Rose & Son. It has been superbly design in a Celtic style. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 4 inches (10.2cm) across including the handle and almost 3 inches (7.2cm) excluding it by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) tall to the top of the thumb plate and weighs 66 grams. A very nice example.
