ENGLISH VICTORIAN SOLID STERLING SILVER UNICORN CRESTED FORK 1840 ANTIQUE

A English Victorian antique solid sterling silver crested fork. It is hallmarked for London 1840 with the maker being William Theobalds. It has a been superbly designed and has been engraved with a unicorn crest possibly associated with the Abbott, Abbett, or Abbot family. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs, faint tine marks from use. It measures over 6.5 inches (17cm) long by over 0.75 inch (2.3cm) wide and weighs 46 grams.
