Beautiful unusual English Georgian antique solid sterling silver sugar tongs. They are hallmarked in their grips with the Lion Passant mark and the makers marks of John McFelan, McFerlan worked c1780 until 1786, having a kings head duty mark must date them to 1786 as this is when it was introduced.  They have been beautifully designed being bright cut with the bow being engraved TRM. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure approx. 5.5 inches (14cm) long and weigh 26 grams. Superb examples.
