A beautiful Continental solid silver gilt egg cup. It is hallmarked possibly with the 800 standard mark partially struck, (it tests as 800 grade silver), along with a makers mark. I would ate it to c1940s. It has been beautifully designed being embossed with the image of chickens. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2.75 inches (7cm) tall by 1.75 inches (4.4cm) across the rim and weighs 20 grams. A very nice clean useable piece.
