Rare English Victorian cast solid sterling silver sugar tongs or nips. They are hallmarked for London 1889 with the maker being Jackson & Deere (William Henry Jackson & Peter Henderson Deere). They have been superbly designed and are in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure over 4.5 inches (11.7cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) across the nips and weigh 22 grams. A very nicely designed more unusual set.
