A super quality cased English solid sterling silver letter opener. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 2006 with the maker being James Dixon & Sons Ltd. I think it was made to mark the re-development and building of 1 St Paul's Place Sheffield and as such is engraved with the address. The address is now home to Price Waterhouse Cooper, Barclays, The Royal Bank of Scotland and other large organisations. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It comes with its original case. It measures approx. 8.25 inches (21cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 62 grams excluding the case. A well designed interesting piece.
