A stunning very impressive English antique solid sterling silver lidded chalice / cup / trophy. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1937 with the maker being Adie Brothers Ltd. It has been superbly made with the lid having a superbly cast finial in the form of an angel. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs, no engravings. It measures approx. 11.5 inches (29.2cm) tall to the top of the finial by 3.75 inches (9.7cm) across the lid by over 3.25 inches (8.6cm) across the base and is heavy weighting 432 grams (not filled or weighted). A top quality well made stunning rare piece.
