A quality English Victorian antique sterling silver sovereign case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 with the maker being Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd. It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the lid closes securely. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (3.8cm) excluding the loop by 0.5 inch (1.5cm) deep and weighs 30 grams. A very nice clean piece.
