A rare super quality good sized German Hanau solid sterling silver shoe. It is hallmarked with German Hanau marks along with the English imported marks for London 1906 with the importer being John George Piddington. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a shoe decorated with scrolls (it would make a very impressive pin cushion if lined). It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 4.75 inches (12.2cm) long by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide by 2 inches (5.1cm) wide and weighs 82 grams. A high quality rare and unusual example.
