A superb rare solid sterling silver gilt caddy spoon. It is hallmarked 950 along with the makers marks of Tostrup of Norway. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly designed having a plique a jour handle and being completely gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The plique a jour work is complete. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.8cms) long by 2.25 inches (5.5cms) tall and weighs 22 grams. A beautifully made example.
