A rare English antique solid sterling silver and enamel vesta case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1912 with the maker being Robert Chandler. It has been superbly designed being decorated with the enamelled Coat of Arms of Stratford-on-Avon. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, tiny lid mark. The enamel is free from cracks and repairs. It has a strong mechanism and is gilded inside. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.6cm) tall by over 1.25 inches (3.4cm) wide and weighs 24 grams. A very high quality rare example.
