A solid cast English solid sterling silver place card or menu holder. It is hallmarked for London 1972 with the maker being that of Thomas Charles Jarvis. It has been superbly designed being cast in the form of an Victorian posy / flower seller with the milestone numbered 9, this holds the place card. There was a set produced by TC Jarvis - all Victorian street characters. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.1cm) tall by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) across the base and weighs 38 grams. An interesting well made piece.
