A rare solid cast English solid sterling silver place card or menu holder. It is hallmarked for London 1984 with the maker being that of Thomas Charles Jarvis. It has been superbly designed being cast in the form of an Victorian busking violin player with the milestone numbered 20, this holds the place card. There was a set produced by TC Jarvis - all Victorian street characters. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures over 2 inches (5.4cm) tall by 1.25 inches (3.4cm) across the base and weighs 36 grams. An interesting well made rare example.
