A beautiful Hanau solid silver box. It is hallmarked with the Hanau marks for Gebruder Dingeldein. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly made being of love heart form and decorated with cherubs. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is gilded. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.5cm) across by the same front to back by 0.5 inch (1.2cm) tall and weighs 52 grams. A very pretty piece.
