A huge heavy rare Irish solid sterling silver serving ladle. It is hallmarked for Dublin 1809 with the makers mark being rubbed. It has been superbly made to what is termed fiddle pattern, the terminal has been engraved with an unusual lion holding a boars head crest, used by the Evans Family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, just the odd faint mark. It measures approx. 13.25 inches (33.6cm) long by 4.25 inches (10.6cm) wide and weighs 190 grams. A top quality rare piece.
