A very pretty German Hanau antique solid sterling silver snuff or pill box. It is hallmarked with import markers for London 1902 with the importers mark being that of Barr, Moering & Co. It has been superbly designed being embossed with two cherubs. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and gilded. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (3.7cm) across by over 1.25 inches (3.4cm) front to back by 0.25 inch (0.8cm) tall and weighs 26 grams. A very pretty example.
