A rare English Georgian antique solid sterling silver marrow scoop. It is hallmarked for London 1796 with the makers mark being that of Thomas Oliphant (or Ollivant) of Manchester. It has been superbly made and has been engraved with a crest used by the Amery family. It is in superb condition having no dings splits repairs or wear. It measures approx. 9 inches (23cm) long by over 0.75 inch (2cm) wide and weighs 40 grams. A well made piece English provincial example.
