A very good quality rare English sterling silver Madeira wine label. It is hallmarked for London 2002 with the maker’s marks being WJM. It has been unusually designed having a scrolled collar engraved ‘The Wine Label Circle 1952-2002 29/50’ (29 of only 50 made) with a drip shaped pendant engraved ‘madeira’ attached to a run like collar, so it fits around the bottle and looks like a drip curling around the neck. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures over 2 inches (5.3cms) across the collar and the pendant 2.25 inches (6.3cms) long by 1.25 inches (3.2cms) wide and weighs 22 grams. A very nicely designed rare example.
