A beautiful decent sized German Hanau export solid sterling silver table snuff or trinket box. It is hallmarked with German Hanau marks for Karl Kurz along with the English import marks of Chester 1903 with the importer being Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck. It has been superbly made being embossed to the lid with cherubs a classical scene to the base. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.3cm) across by 1 inch (2.6cm) tall and weighs 64 grams. A very pretty piece.
