A rare boxed English solid sterling silver limited edition bowl or porringer. It is hallmarked for London 1972 with the makers marks being HM for Hector Miller. It has been made as a limited edition being number 225 of 1000 made by order of the Dean and Chapter to commemorate the 500th anniversary of York Minster. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It is nice and clean inside. It measures approx. 7 inches (18cm) across including the handle and 4.5 inches (11.5cm) excluding it by over 1.25 inches (4cm) tall to the rim and weighs 318 grams excluding the box. A rare piece.
