A rare English Victorian solid sterling silver serving spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1846 with the maker being Charles Lias. It has been superbly made and engraved with a lion crest used by the Hayward family once possibly associated with the Gloucestershire area. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 9 inches (22.8cm) long by 2 inches (5cm) wide and weighs 74 grams. A top quality rare piece.
