A rare English Victorian antique cased solid sterling silver breakfast set. They are hallmarked for London, the jam spoon is dated 1882, the sugar tongs 1883 and the caddy spoon 1898. They all have the same makers mark of Wakely & Wheeler (James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler) so most likely individually held in the stores and assembled into the finished set as ordered. They have been superbly made and are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The case is also superb. The jam spoon measures 5 inches (12.6cm) long, the sugar tongs over 3.75 inches (9.7cm) long and the caddy spoon 4 inches (10.2cm) long and combined they weigh 56 grams excluding the case.
