A beautiful German solid sterling silver baptism spoon (possibly designed to be used for a Christening / Baptism and given to the child afterwards). It is hallmarked with German Hanau marks along with the English import marks for Sheffield 1898 and the importer being Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck. It has been beautifully designed incorporating a Reindeer possibly a copy of a northern European early example - it has a Sami look about it? It is in super condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 4 inches (10.4cm) long by 1.75 inches (4.6cm) wide and weighs 46 grams. A high quality unusual piece.
