A huge heavy English William IV antique solid sterling silver serving ladle. It is hallmarked for London 1837 with the maker’s marks being that of William Theobalds. It has been superbly made to what is termed fiddle pattern and the terminal has been engraved with a crest used by the Cary and Twycross families. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 13 inches (33cm) long by 4 inches (10cm) wide and weighs a very impressive 216 grams. A top quality piece.
