High quality English Victorian antique solid sterling silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked for London 1890 with the maker being John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater. They are highly sprung and in good working order and engraved with a hand holding a quill crest used by both the Alexander and the Young family. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 10.25 inches (26cm) long by over 1 inch (3.1cm) wide and they weigh 218 grams.
