A rare very high quality German Hanau solid sterling silver novelty Mr Punch cream jug. It is hallmarked with the German Hanau marks along with the 930 standard mark and the maker being for Karl Kurz. It also has London import marks for 1903. It has been superbly made and is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.6cm) tall by 3 inches (7.6cm) across handle to lip by 1.75 inches (4.4cm) wide and weighs 76 grams. A rare high quality piece.
