A beautiful rare English solid sterling silver Christening spoon. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1973 with the maker being Deakin & Francis Ltd. It has been superbly made as a replica of a Roman Christening or Baptism spoon. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 4.25 inches (11cm) long by 1.75 inches (4.6cm) wide and weighs 36 grams. An interestingly made piece.
