A rare antique English solid sterling silver egg spoon. It is hallmarked for Newcastle 1863 with the maker being Reid & Sons (David Reid I). It has been superbly made and has been engraved with a crest used by the Persse family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures over 4.75 inches (12.2cm) long by  inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 14 grams. A very interesting example.
