A superb rare boxed English solid sterling silver limited edition bowl or porringer. It is hallmarked for London 1979 with the makers marks being HM for Hector Miller. It has been made as a limited edition being number 127 of 900 made by order of the Dean and Chapter to commemorate the ninth centenary of Winchester Cathedral. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The box has water stains externally. It is nice and clean inside. It measures 6.75 inches (17cm) across including the handle and 4.5 inches (11.6cm) excluding it by over 1.25 inches (3.5cm) tall to the rim and weighs 214 grams excluding the box. A rare piece.
