A beautiful Dutch solid silver table or cigar box. It is hallmarked with the Lion 833 standard mark, the Minerva Head mark and the makers mark of Hendrick Hooykaas. I would date it to c1900. It has been beautifully made with the lid being engraved a 1635 school scene. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside is clean. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13.7cm) long by 3.5 inches (9cm) wide by almost 1.25 inches (3cm) tall and weighs 216 grams. A beautiful piece.
