A super quality rare Chinese export solid silver box. It is hallmarked with a Chinese character mark and the makers markWH for Wang Hing. I would date it to c1890s. It has been superbly design being embossed with blossom and internally gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It closes securely. It measures over 3 inches (7.9cms) across by 1.5 inches (3.3cms) wide by 1 inch (2.2cms) tall and weighs 58 grams. A beautifully made high quality rare piece.
