ANTHONY ELSON BRISTOL STERLING SILVER CHALICE GOBLET 1973 MID CENTURY 220g
£395.00
Item number:
36692
A beautiful English solid sterling silver wine goblet / chalice. It is hallmarked for London 1973 the maker being Anthony Gordon Elson, a highly sought after designer. It was made as a anniversary of 600 years since King Edward III granted Bristol a royal charter, making it a city and county. It has a beautifully made with the stem having texturized finish and coronet style bowl base. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It is No45 of what I assume was a limited edition of only 600. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (17.2cm) tall by 3 inches (7.6cm) across the cup and 2.75 inches (7.2cm) across the base and weighs an impressive 220 grams. A beautifully made example.
