A super quality large English antique silver plated, leather and glass hip flask. It is marked on the collar with the makers mark of James Dixon & Sons Ltd along with the bugle mark used from 1879. I would date this piece to c1910-1920. It has been retailed by FINNIGANS Ltd LONDON MANCHESTER & LIVERPOOL. It has been superbly designed and is in superb condition being free from splits holes chips cracks and repairs, it has of course been used. No wear to the plate. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (17.2cm) tall by over 4 inches (10.5cm) wide and weighs 488 grams. A superbly made piece.
