A super quality solid sterling silver and gold box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1993 with the maker being PJD for Peter John Doherty, made for Gallagher's who had links to Aspreys and Garrards. It has a stylish engine turned design with a gold band. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The hinge is smooth and tight, the lid tight fitting. The JJG (J J Gallagher) logo is on the base. It measures 2 inches (5cm) across by over 1.25 inches (3.3cm) wide by 1cm tall and weighs 41 grams. A very high quality example.
