An unusual little English solid sterling silver miniature animal figure box. It is hallmarked for London 1986 with the maker being JS&MJ. It has been beautifully designed being solid cast in the form of a tortoise. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits and repairs, it closes tightly. It measures approx. 1.25 inches (3.4cm) long by over 0.75 inch (2.2cm) wide by almost 0.5 inch (1.2cm) tall and weighs 12 grams. A well made more unusual little piece.
