A superb Scottish solid sterling silver trinket box. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1989 with the maker being Orkneyinga Silversmiths (Liz and Kevin Allen, Birsay, Orkney, Scotland). It has been superbly designed with the lid being decorated with a silhouette of a puffin. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures over 1.5 inches (4cm) across by over 0.75 inch (2cm) tall and weighs 28 grams. A very nicely made piece.
