A super quality heavy German solid silver asparagus server. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark along with the 800 standard mark and the makers mark of Lararus Posen who was active between c1870 to c1930. I would date it to c1920-1930. It has been beautifully made having a Art Deco style handle engraved A and gilded ridged serving section (all silver). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 9.5 inches (24.2cm) long by 4 inches (10cm) wide and weighs 154 grams. A high quality well made unusual piece.
